The Centralina Workforce Development Board, the NCWorks Career Center-Cabarrus, and Rowan-Cabarrus Community College (RCCC) will host a collaborative Community Job Fair for job seekers, veterans, and military families.
The event will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 from 10 AM to 1 PM at New Life Baptist Church, 1281 Biscayne Dr., Concord, NC 28027.
The event will kick off with an open employer panel discussion. The panel discussion has been added to help candidates learn the culture of the companies and the qualities they are looking for in a candidate. The three employers participating in the panel discussion are Novant Health, Gordon Foods, and Johnson’s Concrete. The employer panel discussion will begin at 9:00 AM and will end at 10:00 AM. Doors will open early for military, veteran, and spouses beginning at 9:00 AM.
Over 60 employers will be in attendance during the event. Some of the major companies that will be in attendance are Novant Health, City of Concord, Bayada Home Health Care, City of Kannapolis, Corning Incorporated, Gordon Foods, Henkel, NCDPS Division of Adult Correction, Rowan-Salisbury Schools, and Wells Fargo.
Overall the event is a good way for employers to gain access to candidates in a one stop environment and employers can meet non-traditional candidates.
